Originally from Puerto Rico, Julia is a higher education professional specializing in Academic Advising, Student Affairs, and Compliance with over 13 years of progressive experience. My passion for Business and Technology is rooted in two things, my daughter's love for technology and engineering, and the advancement of technology in both real-world applications and education. Over the years I have had the pleasure of participating in mentorship program like Computing Loops and Co-advise the Society for Women Advancing in Technology (S.W.A.T). When possible, I like to take part in Diversity and Inclusion Committees which focus to establish a stronger representation of underrepresented students by creating more intentional networking and mentoring opportunities. I'm highly motivated and excited to merge my love for advising and academics together to better serve our student population.
